I haven't posted anything here for awhile.  I have done a few more modifications to the Paladin, but nothing really spectacular.  I added a valve on the ARB onboard air compressor so that I can air up my tires after going off road.

I finally installed the Warn Premium Manual Locking Hubs (Warn manuallocking front axle hub device). The installation was extremely quickand not very difficult. You have to make sure that you remove all ofthe parts from the Automatic Hub or the locking hubs will not fit.

I bought a hand-held radio for weekend trips. It is something that I have needed to get for awhile. Now I won't have to borrow a radio every time I go out.

Ijust finished installing a new low profile top rack for the Paladin.Because the Paladin sits so high, I needed a rack that is not veryheavy and not very tall. This rack is made of aluminum to keep theweight low. The bars are 25mm diameter with 3mm walls and the sidepieces are 3mm thick. After the bars and side pieces were weldedtogether, it was finished in black powder coat. I used eye bolts tofasten the rack to the original Paladin roof bars. The eye bolts giveme a lot of tie-down points along both sides.

Iwant thank xiao Yu for spending two whole days going with me to severalplaces in Shanghai.  He was a great help in getting this rack made andfinished quickly!

I received my set of 4 Staun Internal Beadlocks. This device is fitted to the wheel, inside the tire. When inflated, it 100% locks the tire bead to the rim so that you can run your tires at very low pressure to improve driving performance on beach sand, desert sand, mud and rocks.

I finally received my rear bumper today from SkoPri. I have to say that while the bar is OK, there are some things about it that I think could have been done better. The first thing I noticed was that the method of attaching the bumper to the frame is not as strong or secure as it should be. There are two small pieces that bolt to the outside of the frame. I don't think that this is going to support the weight of the tire while going off-road. Nor do I feel that I can pull another truck without the risk of losing my bumper in the process.

The second thing that was not so good was the powder-coating.  It was already flaking off in several places and we had not even installed it yet.

The bumper was not a good fit and there was a certain amount of cutting and grinding involved to get it installed.  It may have been better for me to go to their workshop to have it fitted to the Paladin instead of doing it from Shanghai.

Overall it is not a bad piece, just a few things that I hope will not cause problems for me later.

i have to say, you are a serious 4x4 man!

you are right i think.  through the pics can easy to find the two problems. but i still worry about your heavy speare wheel on it, may be it will need a supporter under to protect your back door.
